The land of nobility

Dressed in his suit he walked down the street towards where he parked his car , his mind was full of thoughts on several things.. But one thing he always dreamed of is perhaps time travelling throughout the different eras.. What mostly took over his mind was nobility.. The lavish palaces and kings and queens courts, their entourage,  no matter how many conspiracies that were plotted or wars raged on, he wanted to be there to see some of the true noble people..

He unlocked his car as he rode in..He was quite the romantic person, he never denied it , it was all part of who he is.. He turned on his music player to listen to Fayrouz, it was just the morning for it and since he knows he has a long way to go rather as well get a good start.. He played “Habaytak (I Loved you)”..

He drove down the road singing as he could see himself walking through the nature of Lebanon and going to turkey even during the Ottoman rule and see the Sultans.. He had this rich imagination which could take him across globes.. In his bag he always kept something with him that would make him forget the bitterness of a hardworking day..

Finally he arrives at work and unlocks his bag and begins setting himself up for the day.. He fixes himself a cup of coffee.. He opens his laptop and lets it run the email as he takes a sip and just relaxed allowing himself a few more minutes of imagination in the realms of the past, in the hallways of the palaces.. In the minds of painters and artists.. He closed his eyes and drifted into his dreams

It wasn’t long enough until his blackberry buzzed with a message popping on it’s screen “Meeting in five minutes”

He opened his eyes with a distinct grimace on his face that just reflected how much he hated those meetings..
